With a commitment to a Progressive Future, business leaders and elected officials in Bureau, LaSalle and Putnam Counties of Illinois, united to form the Economic Development Corporation of North Central Illinois (NCI) in 2016. The regional vision and strategic plan priorities were updated in 2023 through a regional planning effort. The non-profit Public-Private Marketing Partnership is totally focused and dedicated to marketing the region for new investment and job creation. NCI is the lead organization in the region aggressively Marketing Bureau, LaSalle, and Putnam Counties for New Good Paying Jobs, New Investment and New Tax Revenue.
