A familiar voice is taking over as leader of the Illinois Valley Area Chamber of Commerce.
Lucas Burris has been appointed the new executive director for IVAC. He most recently served full-time as the Assistant General Manager of the Illinois Valley Pistol Shrimp, and part-time as the Manager of Digital and Strategic Content for the Prospect League. Of course Burris was also the voice of the Pistol Shrimp games on 103.9 WLPO.
Burris will start in his new role in mid-May. He replaces Bill Zens, who will transition out of the role near the beginning of July.
