(Oglesby) – John McCormick, Board Chair of the North Central Illinois Economic Development Corporation (NCIEDC), announced today that the organization’s board of directors has elected Danielle Anderson as its newest member. “We’re very pleased that Marquis Energy has rejoined NCIEDC and excited to add Danielle to our board of Directors,” McCormick said. “For some time now, our team has been advising Marquis as it prepared to launch its new 1,800-acre, multi-modal industrial park outside Hennepin (www.marquisindustrialpark.com). As project manager of the new industrial park, Danielle is a talented partner. We look forward to her participation on our board of directors.”
In her official title of Director of Government Relations and Public Affairs, Anderson represents and advocates for Hennepin-based biofuels producer, Marquis Energy. The company is located on the Illinois River, a class 1 railroad and interstate highways. These are some of the advantages she believes make Marquis Energy a top producer and the Illinois Valley region so viable for businesses. She is passionate about advancing Illinois agriculture and touting the state’s logistical advantages to shipping ethanol and other products across the globe.
She brings over ten years of experience in government and political roles, from working as the press secretary for a national interest group to working on congressional campaigns and in the U.S. House of Representatives for a Florida congressman. An Illinois native, Anderson attended Lewis University in Romeoville and received her master’s degree in Political Management from George Washington University in Washington, D.C.
Danielle resides in Princeton with her husband and three children. In her spare time, she enjoys going on a run or exploring nature in the Illinois Valley.
