(Hennepin, Illinois) - Chinese Manufacturing Executives from one of the 300 largest Companies in the World toured the Hennepin area, through an arranged site visit by North Central Illinois Economic Development Corporation (NCI.)
During a 5 day visit, the company reviewed 2 sites in Illinois, including North Central Illinois, for a new manufacturing operation. Hennepin Mayor Kevin Coleman, Putnam County Board Chairman Steve Malavolti, NCI Chairman Steve Aubry, NCI President Ivan Baker, and NCI Manager Gina Czubachowski joined other officials from Ameren, the NCI Region, State and 21st Century Institute to welcome the executives and promote the region.
“Promoting the region for development and new good-paying jobs is the goal of NCI,” said Chairman Steve Aubry. “We made sure the team was in place to answer questions, and that our presentations were professional and world-class.”
Only North Central Illinois EDC professionally promotes the 3 County region for new industrial development. No other organization can or will do the promotion necessary to encourage region-wide development.
“Our North Central Illinois team made sure that our Prospect knew the advantages and expansion opportunities available in our region,” said Mayor Kevin Coleman. More visits are expected over the next few months, as the corporate executives anticipate making a location decision this year.
