Located in LaSalle County, multi-modal Ottawa Illinois is the largest city in North Central Illinois, located at the junction of the Fox River and Illinois River, plus Interstate 80 and three highways. The City of Ottawa takes pride in a history that includes the I&M Canal and the first Lincoln-Douglas Debate in 1858. Today, a vital downtown which has received National beautification awards, is the center attraction to many amenities and events year round that include Riverfest and Ottawa 2 Rivers Wine Festival.  Ottawa is a regional Employment, Retail, and Entertainment Hub with established businesses, and an aggressive plan for more growth with full-service industrial and business parks. The major employers include ADM, Clover Technologies Group, SABIC, and MBL USA Corporation, and distribution centers for PetSmart and Kohls.
